First visit

Offer high-quality dentistry through a relationship of trust

That is our commitment, and for this we must start from a good previous information, with the aim of establishing a good diagnosis.
This point is especially important since it is fundamental for us not to give false expectations.
We also follow a rigorous process during your first visit to our clinic.

1

Previous questionnaireAffiliation and background

This questionnaire with data of affiliation and background will be provided to you at reception, and is essential to rule out possible diseases or allergies.

2

DiagnosticOral examination, x-rays and photographs

The doctors will perform a thorough oral examination of the teeth, gums and other soft tissues of the oral cavity.

X-rays and photographs necessary for diagnosis and treatment planning will be taken.

All these data gives us an essential information to be able to make a budget as tight as possible.

In cases where periodontal disease (pyorrhea) is detected, in complex rehabilitations, in orthodontics or in highly esthetic works, it is mandatory to carry out a specific prior study in order to focus the treatment with the best guarantees of success.

3

BudgetTreatment estimate

Based on the data obtained with the studies of the previous cases, a budget will always be issued (with different alternatives if applicable) that the patient must sign if accepted.

4

Signature of the budgetLegal protection and patient consent

Also, in accordance with Article 10.6 of Law 14/1986 of 25 April, Spain’s General Healthcare Law, an informed consent form must be signed before each treatment. It states that the patient is entitled to 'Freedom of choice between the options presented by the medical supervisor for their case, requiring prior consent from the user in order to undertake any type of intervention…'

In turn, Article 3.1 of Law 3/2001 of 28 May of the Autonomous Region of Galiciastates: “For the purposes of this law, informed consent shall be considered as meaning the express authorisation of the patient, declared in writing, after obtaining the necessary information for the undertaking of a diagnostic or therapeutic procedure that affects their person and involves substantial, considerable or important risks”. Based on these two laws, it is obligatory for us to have the patient’s consent for all types of interventions, having obtained sufficient personal information. This consent must be given in writing.

If anything happens during the treatment that obliges us to change the initial plan in benefit of the final result, you will be suitably informed.

During the treatment

If anything happens during the treatment that obliges us to change the initial plan in benefit of the final result, you will be suitably informed.
We focus on excellence in our work, and for this reason we have internal and external quality controls:

  • The internal controls focus on our professional activity: controlling sterilisation procedures, use of the appropriate instruments, high-quality materials, demonstrated techniques and in summary, everything that you cannot evaluate.
  • The external controls are based on what you can objectively analyse: quality of service, waiting times, hygiene, comfort of treatment, etc.
