Pardiñas Clinic Foundation participated the International Congress of Children Needs and Rights held in A Coruña on 19 and 20 May. Dr. Simon Pardiñas, director of the Foundation, participated as a speaker at the conference about the health system.
During his speech, Dr. Pardiñas spoke about the problems that exist in the childhood to access certain dental treatments, because Social Security does not cover most dental procedures. In the same talk, Dr. Pardiñas insisted that oral problems experienced during childhood can have consequences when becoming adults. At the colloquium also participated Dr. Jesús Garcia (President of the Spanish Society of Social Pediatrics), Raquel San José (clinical psychologist) and Paula Pita (member of the Galician Association of Midwives), offering their opinion about the subject.
This year, the Congress of Children Needs and Rights held its first edition and chose the auditorium of the University of A Coruña. This conference aims to find a joint solution to the problems of children, and be a permanent speaker on the needs and rights of children.
Participating in this event is a real pride for Pardiñas Clinic Foundation. This institution was designed to provide dental services to the most disadvantaged sectors of society, and children deserve all our support.
