A unit specialized in the treatment of halitosis arrives in A Coruña. At the end of January, the Pardiñas Dental Medical Center inaugurated the Institute of Breath, a department specialized in removing bad breath using the latest technology.
Among the most advanced procedures to combat halitosis are biosniffing or "electronic nose" and gas chromatography, a method of analysis that allows the separation of gases from an air sample. These devices can identify any gas present in human breath (more than 3000 have been discovered), in order to choose the appropriate treatment directed to the origin of the malodor of these patients.
Halitosis is a frequent problem among citizens around the world and affects the quality of life. However, it is still a great unknown within the medical community.
The Institute of Breath reaches A Coruña after more than 10 years treating problems of halitosis of patients of all Spain and Portugal, with a success rate of 97%. This unit will seek to offer the Galicians a solution to bad breath in collaboration with the Pardiñas Dental Medical Center. Dr. Jonas Nunes, director of the mentioned institute, will be the coordinator of this department in A Coruña.
With the incorporation of this Institute, the Pardiñas Dental Medical Center demonstrates its vocation of service to its patients, trying every day to improve the oral health of all Galicians. From here we encourage all those with breath problems to contact us to start studying the case. The solution is closer than you think.
